So, if you weren’t already aware, muuuuuuuuch has happened and is currently happening between these hallowed walls. With our new address came new interests, new loves, new habits, big tyme stuntin’ and, believe it or not, much more. We have a slew of signings to impress you with, and a b-load of CMJ insanity to fill you in on. Let us begin:
Our true loves, the boys and girls of Hooray For Earth, will be embarking on a sojourn in the greater UK at the end of this month, replete with London, Edinburgh and Manchester shows, a press junket in their trunkets, much rejoicing. As part of a mini-tour sponsored by Lyle & Scott Fine Clothiers they will be wanking about East London, setting fire to chip shoppe upon chip shoppe. Check our Tours section for the IRL scoop.
Wise Blood, too, leaves for Europe imminently. With pride in tow and reams of press forming a vapor trail in their wake, the boys will ride the Atlantic for the first time. Chris Laufman, of Wise Blood, has launched chrislaufman.com, a suppository for the intrigues and scat of his private mind. The website will function much like an online gallery, curated by Laufman and occasionally may host premieres, ramblings, and more. You should go there immediately.
The boy extravagant, Hard Mix, dropped a single “I Wonder Why You Cry”, which has a great iTunes review. Additionally, The Fader premiered another track of his “I Won’t Put Up/Trying to be Rude”. He continues to turn heads, even between records.
It was not without accompanying dramatics that we announced the signing of Supreme Cuts earlier last month. Despite the entree being littered with twitter beef and nutty rants, we felt the dish was well-received. The dudes played a TON of shows during CMJ, including one seriously hectic and overwhelmingly awesome Heart Music Group Showcase. Every time the bass drops in “Jacy” I have to change my underwear Supreme Cuts – Jacy.
