Austin and Mike of Supreme Cuts, as you may already know, did a remix of the Maroon 5sez very severe hit song, “Payphone”. This remix jawn is so deep and gully that it made the Bologna 5 sound like men. That’s mondo gully. SC’s “Payphone” Remix has or will be coming out on myriad international versions of the record and on the CDs that were made specially for †Target†. Employing Twitter as a sociological metric, it’s evident that Asia as a continent has latched the fuck on to the track. We awaken morning by morning to the din of our resplendent, winged friends in the East. Chirpin’ hard, goin’ loco.
This new mania comes on the ‘wings’ of a seriously smart, thorough and complimentary editorial cover story in the Chicago Reader, which I’m loth to contend is some CHI equivalent to the Village Voice.
