With CMJ just around the corner and SXSW seeming imminently right behind, we’re super psyched to say that Ski Lodge’s first two shows were a wild success. All of the hard work that was put into formulating a band around lead man, Andrew Marr, has paid off in droves and torrents. Close friend of the label, Jared O’Connell, brought copious amounts of stink with his deeply funky basslines for both Ski Lodge and Sea Monsters. A divine one-two punch.
With that being said I believe it goes without saying that the upcoming Ski Lodge show on October 8th is a must-see. BONUS: We’ll have vinyl EPs ready for sale!
There’s a lot of buzz around the office about this project. After getting a laudatory writeup on Brooklyn Vegan, Ski Lodge started seeing more press pour in. 7 i n c h e s reviewed last Friday’s Cake Shop show and A Heart is a Spade asked Andrew to compile a playlist for them. We’re honored and blessed to be a part of it.
