This weekend is a busy one for the Dovecote Gods and Goddess; we have so many places to be it’s spinning our skulls. Tonight at Shea Stadium Ski Lodge is playing with Beach Day, Plastic Flowers, South of France

and tomorrow at Spike Hill for The L Magazine’s Northside showcase. The showcase features The L’s “8 Bands You Need to Hear: 2012″ lineup, which includes Field Mouse, Ravens & Chimes, Evi Antonio, Starlight Girls, and more, obviously. This one’s early; Ski Lodge will go on around 5PM. We all know what that means for your weekend; you get to see live music, go to your BFF’s sex-BBQ and will still have two or three hours to curl up with Two and a Half Men before hitting the sack.
Tomorrow (Saturday night) we also have Wise Blood headlining the PopGun/Glasslands Northside showcase .
I can’t fucking wait for this. Wise Blood has delivered 21 new songs, and they are fully-formed mini masterpieces. Things have evolved and matured but retained the edge and singularity of prior songs. This is going to be so exciting to witness. The boys will be joined by Big Baby Gandhi and Evi Antonio. BANG BANG BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRA!
